0.8.2 released

This release fixes the last issues with spaces in the installation path.

Please DONT install it over an existing installation. This will couse too much trouble.

0.8.1 released

We fixed several issues. If you tried 0.8.0 and it did not work, please try this one.

There is still an isue with the database not beeing created correctly at the installation. if this is the case run mmdb -F and then mmdb -c.

Please note that you have to remove previous installation, before installing this one.

CVS and mailing list are still down, so if you have problems/feedback you can try IRC (#musicminer at quakenet) or direct email. If you find bugs please fill in a bugreport and we will try to fix it.... read more

0.8.0 released

The first public release was made today. We would be happy to get some feedback. If you find any bugs please fill in a bug reporty.

We still have some problems with CVS. We'll check the sources in as soon as possible.

MusicMiner, formerly (un)known as Jamis

"Databionic MusicMiner" is the new name for Jamis (Java Music Information System). Here's the story:

Basically we 'forked' Jamis as part of a research project where a group of students was developing a new interface for the music database (it's not really a fork because nothing happened to Jamis in the meantime). We are nearing the final stadium where we want to make the new product available. In order to emphasize the large changes to the program and to give more credits to the group of students that created the new software we gave it a new name.
