:: RE: ESL teacher in the US ,what do i need to teach abroad ? Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, though smaller oil towns like Villahermosa and Cuidad del Carmen offer oil-monied business classes too.
DO THE CELTA instead. :: RE: Recommend a Good place to get certified?
:: Try out teaching then get certificate - could this be bad?
It is a good introduction but the CELTA will take you further.
I am interested in Mexico for its art scene though its not set in stone
I'm still looking for another great place to teach in Mexico.
If you want to teach abroad and make use of that experience back home, then a TEFL course and a degree would be best. DO THE CELTA instead.

I am unsure how to proceed.

I hate public speaking except when I really know my stuff. DO THE CELTA instead.
Should I go for a teaching certificate, a second degree in English, or ESL certification? Don't waste your time with an online certificate.
People generally already speak a high level of English as a requirement to seek work there.
