I will not change graphing tool from rrd. RRD 1.3 is comming with a new backend library: Cairo/Pango. This will give us the same graphics formats as before, but a beter feature set overall it seems: http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool-trac/wiki/RRDtool13 - including a 2X improvement in I/O and plans for a "accelerator" that overlaps in functionality with the acceleration plans I had. For those of you clamoring for cooler graphics: Making munin produce SVG files instead of PNG should not be a big source code change, but I've no idea if it will bring us value lables and all that other stuff you ask for or how hard that is. Patches welcome (even though I've been unable to incorporate the patches sent me since december since I'm still on 50% paternity leave and barely get time to do the paid work I need to). > Canvas would be great too since Firefox/Safari both support these > including Linux > > <flamebait> If you would just ditch Linux and go to OS X you could join > the real world with the rest of us </flamebait> Everyone knows that OS X is a product of 'shrom eating hippies and is as unreal as can be :p Nicolai |
