#346 Support for Reaper "ReaRoute" ASIO interface

Mumble (514)
Stephan A.

I run an internet radio broadcast using Reaper (www.reaper.fm) for mixing and streaming. I would like to use Mumble to bring in guests who can't be physically present.

Most shows do VOIP guests by running the VOIP client out an analog out and taking it back in... I would like to try something a little less hacky. =D Reaper creates a "virtual" ASIO interface which other programs can use to stream audio into Reaper... It works for other programs, but Mumble doesn't seem to like it. If you could make it work, I'd heart you forever.

Raper is available as uncrippled shareware, so you would be able to test things easily.

If I understand you correctly here, you want to use ASIO output? If so, you're out of luck, as we currently only use ASIO for input.
ASIO Output would be complicated, as it has no formal mapping between channel name and 3D position. So it would really be limited to mono-output only, unless we add a full speaker-position editor, which seems a bit overkill.

Mono is all I'm looking for!
