Me and my friends use Mumble as a social hangout more than as a VOIP game communication solution. It performs this task incredibly well, and unlike Skype and Google hangouts never stops working for no reason. One of our most missed features from Skype however, is the ability to leave messages for others to read later without them having to be online.
While it is possible to change channel comments, this is inconvenient and requires that I give some people permissions. It's also relatively unintuitive.
Would it be feasible to have some sort of option configured on the server where it stores the last n lines of text sent to any channel, and plays it back when someone connects?
