I am trying to embed an image into my mumble-servers welcometext, using base64 encoding. This is my welcometext message:
welcometext="<br>Welcome to <b>Lauch Paradise</b> VoIP.<br><img src="data:image/jpeg;base64,%2F9j%2F4---restofthedatablock---2F%2FZ"/><br>Long live the Kaesekuchen.<br><br><b>You can be banned for not speaking English, after asked to do so.</b>"
The base64 encoded version of the image is 56.959 Byte and even the complete mumble-server.ini is below the 64k limit for images. When someone connects to the server, he gets the part up to the image, then a broken image symbol, and the part after the image isn't displayed at all. However, if I send the very same message as user to a channel, it is displayed correctly. I am using a remote root-server running the mumble-server version 1.2.3 from the canonical repos on ubuntu-server 12.04, all the clients used to test this behavior were version 1.2.3 either. Any idea on what could cause this problem?
