When I turn on Positional audio with a 5.1 configuration (Correctly working in other programs).

In the wizard (and games) I heard the sound in the same way despite the sounds come from the left or from the right... the front and rear sound works well... but left and right are the same to me.

If i mark Headphones check box the problem gone, but i lost the rear front effect, and all audio is 2.1 not 5.1 ...

Thanks in advance.

    Ok, they aren't actually identical, but they're nowhere near as different as they should be. I'll revisit our calculations and see what I can do.

    Trying with the audio wizard positional audio example seems like the frontal, front-left and front right are always at the same volumen, and the right left effect only works with the rear-left rear-right speakers...

    Is something like that... the left right differences are hardly appreciated.

    Sorry for my bad english again.

    Thanks for your great job ;)

    It looks like you speaker configuration is set to 5.1 surround. This means that rear-left and rear-right speakers are in fact configured as side-left and side-right speakers. You positions of the speakers in the audio wizard are the positions mumble is getting from MS windows. So try playing with the speaker configuration of MS windows.

    I made a short video explainin the error, i hope this helps to solve the problem.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz6LKu3rsuY

    DI =Front Left
    DC =Front
    DD =Front Right
    TI =Rear Left
    TD =Rear Right
    SUB =Subwoofer

    you can appreciate in the video that the change of the position is barelly noticiable in the Speakers output.

    If you need more info Please contact me in this thread.

    P.D. The 3d sound is more noticiable in the video (converted to stereo) :P.

    Nice video. It shows that the implementation of position audio is working as expected, but also that the implementation is not good enough for good positional audio representation.

    Slicer and I, both worked out a new implementation, but that still needs to be coded.
