Ok, there is a problem with White-List in mumble-1.2.4-165-g5b9e899 snapshot (and above*). If mumble is set to use White-List ov does not work on first run to enable white-list you must switch to black-list (maybe running a game is required at this point) and switch again to white-list.

*I will edit it if not valid

I looked at the code involved and nothing directly stood out to me. Could you provide a overlay logfile for a situation where it isn't working (needs the debugoverlay file)?

    Tested with 1.2.4-178-g2c892fe
Switching to whitelist, closing with ok => no overlay when I start a game
Switching to blacklist, closing with ok => overlay displays when I start a game

So, the problem seems to occur when you switch to whitelist, and then close Mumble.
After starting it again, switchting to blacklist, the overlay still does not display.

Question is: Does it work the other way around?

The whitelist does not seem to work at all.
I added GW.exe to it. Overlay did not display upon startup.
I restarted Mumble. Overlay still did not display upon startup.

(11:01:32) (Zuko) Kissaki: i just tried different settings right now, and my results are: when I start mumble with whitelist on - ov does not work -> switching to blacklist - ov still does not work
(11:02:10) (Zuko) When I start mumble with blacklist on - ov works -> switching to whitelist - ov works only on "whitelisted" apps
(11:02:55) (Zuko) in debugview there is 0 info about whitelist

It works fine on my non-static self compile of master. (2 local changes ahead of 75976e)

          Release compile works as well.

it works if you switch to black and then back to white
