I'm writing an ISO of Linux Mint MATE 64 bits 17.3 on a USB stick. When I click on Write/Create, a window ask to me if I want to proceed for installation. I click OK and then MultibootSUB begins to write on the USB stick. But the bar stays at 0% and after a few minutes, the USB sticker LED stop to light on and off and stays on. MultibootUSB freezes, I must kill it.
Same problem with MultibootSUB 7.5.0 on Linux Mint 17.3 or with MultibootSUB 7.5.0 on Windows 7 in VirtualBox.
Others softwares like YUMI, Rufus, Unetbooting works well with the same USB stick and ISO file.

    Can't install version 8 in Linux Mint MATE 18. Error because version 7.5.0 is already installed. I removed 7.5.0 package and then version 8 installs but doesn't start from the Mint Menu. In a terminal :

    david@Ordinateur-David ~ $ multibootusb
    Starting multibootusb GUI...
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/bin/multibootusb", line 98, in <module>
    start_gui()
    File "/usr/bin/multibootusb", line 47, in start_gui
    from scripts import mbusb_gui
    File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/scripts/mbusb_gui.py", line 13, in <module>
    from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui, QtWidgets
    ImportError: No module named 'PyQt5'</module></module>

    I installed python3-pyqt5 package and then, multibootusb starts from Mint menu -> you should add a dependance in the package.

    With Linux version, I created a bootable USB stick with 1 ISO image and after, a multiboot USB stick with 2 ISO images. It works well. Tomorrow, I will test with Windows version.

    I tried it under Windows 7. If the USB stick isn't formatted, it isn't recognized by MultibootUSB and I can't put anything on the USB stick (MultibootUSB isn't looking for a USB stick under Windows but is looking for a partition letter E:, F:...)..
    Then I formatted the USB stick (FAT32) and tried to make a bootable key with an ISO file. MultibootUSB crashed just before beginning to write on the USB stick. Perhaps this USB stick is dead or perhaps it is because there's 1 MB at the beginning of the USB stick that is recognized by GParted but not usable into a partition ?

    When you report the issue, you should also tell us the name of an ISO you used, filesystem type, partition type (logic or primary) etc...,

    It is very difficult to imagine what happened at your end.

    Same behavior with V9.1.0-1 on linux Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS (32bit).
    Iso I use is: https://sourceforge.net/projects/camerubuntu-hotspot-12-04/?source=directory
    Stick has 4GB

    • Format stick (one partition, FAT32)
    • Choose stick (as drive dev/sdb) in Multibootusb
    • Choose Iso in Multibootusb
    • Write image to disk
    • after a warning it starts at 0% and it stays at 0%. With top you can see that a dd command is running which let's the LED of the stick flash. When dd is finished, the LED stops flashing.
    • Result: Multibootusb is frozen, but it can still be closed with the 'x' button. "A process is still running. Do you really want to quit multibootusb?" USB stick needs new formatting for further usage.
    • Log says only: 09:10:45.643 root INFO Executing ==> dd if=/home/xxx/Downloads/hotspot.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=1M oflag=sync

    Tried it with two isos now, both have the same result.
