The Multi Remote Camera app, for Android camera devices, takes photos and videos triggered remotely over a local WIFI network using broadcast messages. You can capture photos and videos nearly simultaneously on local network connected devices running this camera app. Depending on the type of local private network, the number of triggered camera devices can range from 1 to 253 or 4093 maximum.

For security reasons some Internet service provider's WIFI routers will block broadcast messages. The recommended security setup is to use your own private router that allows broadcast messaging and is NOT connected to the Internet.

To use the app for remote trigger you need to enable WiFi Remote Control in Settings (Camera Controls). For privacy disable when not needed.

Another Android app, WIFI Remote Capture , sends the broadcast control messages used to operate focus and shutter release on multiple devices. Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andymodla.remotecapture&hl=en
You need this app to trigger the Multi Remote Camera running on devices connected to your local network.

The Multi Remote Camera app has a built-in Web HTTP server you can enable for downloading your photos with a Web browser. It only works with your local network while the camera app is running. In Settings there is a option to turn on the HTTP Server option. For privacy disable when not needed. The Pairing QR Code shows the URL of the HTTP server as a QR code or text.

The Multi Remote Camera app has photo and video filename suffix settings and Time/Number formats for filenames with an option to reset. Settings More camera controls... enter Save photo suffix, Save video suffix. The suffix string appended to the filename helps you determine from which device camera a photo or video was shot. This allows you to merge all the photos and videos from multiple cameras into a single folder for editing.

You can also capture 3D images by taking sequential left and right eye photos by turning on 3D Capture Mode in Settings. Filenames will automatically add suffixes _l and _r.

There is also an option to turn on wired USB mouse button control of the shutter and preview in Settings More camera controls... Mouse button capture .
