This is the first public release of mubber (outside cvs). After several months of using it to write songs with no major infrastructure changes, I decided it was stable enough.

Mubber is a music/sound synthesis library aimed at anyone who's ever thought, "I wish I could write songs in Perl." A set of Perl libraries handles sequencing and other high-level tasks, and passes XML to a backend application written in C which does the actual synthesis and other number-crunching. If you enjoy non-realtime, programmatic synthesis and you know Perl, you may find Mubber a pleasant alternative to Csound and its ilk.
