Uniqe deck identify number (UDIN)

heho

i really would like to see a way to identify a deck based
on a unique number like appr. or netdraft does.
This could be a number like "23988734-1212" and
should identify this decklist.

Changing a card in the deck or in the SB should cause
this number to change. If two persons are building the
same decklist of exactly the same cards this should
bring up the same UDIN.

on loading a deck this number should occure in the
chatlog.

What is that 4 ...
signing in into a tournament or series of games,
whithout posting a decklist.
The organiser can now post all participant UDIN and
names and if you play both players will see if this deck is
still the same then at the beginning of this tourney.

I second this motion. This is a great feature for those who
run tournaments online. Figuring out a formula that would
produce 100% uniqueness would be tricky though.

    Maybe something like...

(Sum of all CardIDs / 10) + (# of Cards in deck) + (# of cards
from each expansion, ie (04076 *3))

yes but it must be included that switching cards from deck to
sideboard and others from sideboard to deck would reproduce
    another ID

It would probably be easier to just include the Sideboard in
the initial calculation. This is how Apprentice does it.

    100% uniqueness is possible.
But you all are missing the fact that apprentice and netdraft
DO NOT specify if a card is of a set in the deck list. so keep
in mind that if someone had a swap from 8th and then a
swamp from 7th, which is still tourney legal, the deck ID
would be different, but the deck would still be legal for the
    tourney.

    Hi thx 4 responding

yes i am aware that changing a card from 8th to 7th edition
will change the identify number .Buts thats the trick. When
signing on to a event means prepareing a deck 4 the hole
event. no chance to change something in the deck in
    between matches.

So you prepare (build ) a deck. Then signon to the event
sending a decklist and this number to the organizer. He posts
your name and your decknumber online. Now the event
begins and when you are playing your opp. when everyone
loads his deck, MTGP displays the Decknumber in Chat. Now
you can compare the in game number which what it supposed
to be. Now everyone is sure that the deck you are playing
against is the one which was registered during the signon of
    the event.
