mt-daapd is a daemon that acts as an iTunes music server. It uses Apple's Rendezvous technology to advertise itself to iTunes clients on the local network. It is web-configurable and managable, and pretty dang cool, if I do say so myself.
This release adds support for iTunes 4.5 and 4.6, support for iTunes .m4a and .m4p files, support for various new ID3 tags including track number, disc number, composer, orchestra, conductor and more. It is more protocol compliant than previous versions, has improved logging, improved stability, and is generally shinier and more corrosion resistant.
