#8 /proc/ksyms Fedora Core 4

I installed msyslogd-v1.08d. Install went fine. However,
when I try to start
msyslog I get the following error message:
Starting msyslogd: msyslogd: linux input module:
ksym_init: /proc/ksyms: No suchfile or directory
syslogd: WARNING error on input module, ignoring linux
and of course it doesnt run. I am using msyslog to
capture log files and
populate a mysql database. I have moving this
database over from an older
server to a new one. Any help of course is greatly
appreciated. Box is clean install with Fedora Core 4.
