While Testing MSTP, we have found a problem. the details are given below,

Test Scenario:
we have a mesh topology with 4 DUTs(DUT A,B,C,D)

  1. Initially all DUT are in same region and DUT A is the ROOT and Regional ROOT Bridge.
  2. DUT A is moved to another region , In this case DUT B has to be elected as regional root.
  3. DUT B is elected as Regional Root Bridge approximately after 30 seconds.For this time period DUT A will remain as Regional Root Bridge.

We would like to know whether this is an expected behavior or not. If not please guide us in which portion of IEEE std 802.1Q-2005 handles this scenario.
