I am very much new to this product. I am also facing the similar issue. I am using windows 7 enterprise edition – 64 bit OS. 

You told that – “Be sure to use the 64 bit binary.”

Could you please elaborate on this?

It definitely works on 64 bit machines. Be sure to use the 64 bit binary.
