I'm using WIndows XP professional, MSP430 Flash
EMulation tool (MSP-FET430).
I used IAR trial and it works but when I want to use GCC
toolchain I have problems

- I generated an .elf file with mpsgcc
- enabled GiveIO
- enabled gdbproxy and got TCP port 3333
- opened GDB and connected successfully
- I opened on GDB the .elf file
- I requested to download and at this point I received
the message on gdbproxy "Could not write device
memory (7)"

WHat I'm doing wrong ?
Thanks a lot

Maybe you need to erase the flash memory.

    Try enter: monitor erase all

ease flash as the other comment points out.
an other problem can be if the binary was compiled for an
other/wrong CPU (one with less flash memory)
