Hi Marco, If you are using a notebook, a few give trouble. A lot of Thinkpads and some Compaqs are the most common offenders. If you are using a desktop machine try changing the parallel port mode to SPP in the BIOS. With some machines this matters, with others it doesn't. We don't really know why. BIOSes tend to be rather buggy, so this may be some kind of BIOS-to-hardware compatibility problem.
