My name is Roland Lu and my id is rllu. I think mchat will be something like the handphone version of MSN, am I right?
I have about one and a half year experience in C++ and one year experience in Java. J2ME is something new to me. If you don't mind, I would like to follow the development process, learn it and figure out what I could contribute to this project.
By the way, I have a small question. With the tiny keyborad of handphone, how can a user type fast enough to have a real chat?
You may contact me at vizwind@yahoo.com. You also may add my MSN: vizwind@hotmail.com if you want.

I have experience in developing GUI in java, i think that J2ME uses graphical APIs that is almost similar in nature to the java equivalents. So if you need some screens i should be able to help.
Also have experience in JDBC, SQL, RMI and corba
I would be glad to help this interesting sounding project

In real Life i'm a Teacher(since 2001) on an Institute in Berlin for Java,PHP,Unix/Linux
I've learned programming in Java since 1998(on University) and have made a lot of small Programms written in Java. Sorry for my bad english but i hope it's enough for basic-communication.

From time to time i use the virca midlet for chatting on irc and it isn't that slow when T9 is enabled. It just requires a little training.
