Configuration :
Windows 2000 Professionnal Service Pack2.
IE5.5

I tried msi2xml on a msi file and here the result :

An invalid character was found in text content. Line
13560, Position 8

<td>DocumentSummaryInformation</td>
-------^

Note that I haven't the problem with all msi files.

Here's an excerpt of the output xml near the error :

------------------------8<-------------------------
<table name="_Streams">
<col key="yes" def="s62">Name</col>
<col def="V0">Data</col>
<row>

&lt;td&gt;DocumentSummaryInformation&lt;/td&gt;

------------------------8<-------------------------

    Thanks. Will fix this by end of January.

    The _Streams table usually contains the summary information
    as "\x05SummaryInformation". Apparently, what matters is
    not the exact name, but the leading "\x05". The code now
    checks for this special character, instead of the entire
    string.

    Fixed in 1.2.1
