Summary: Problems with 'New Window...'

Initial Comment:
With the experimental MDI build, I've noticed on
occasion that when selecting 'New Window...' (often the
first time after launching mShell), I get a grey window
that doesn't display anything.  The main MDI window
also looses focus when creating the new window.
