If the file exists already, instead of

"File exists, cannot be created"

ask the user to merge the files.

curious, what happens now if you have 2 users of the same
name on different protocols, and you set the export
filename.txt the same?
Is message export designed around writing these to the
same file?
I'd really like to do this - this would be the only current way to
merge history across protocols in Miranda.. the main feature
(for me) of meta contacts which is (and wont be?) supported.

Yes if you set 2 useres to use the same log file there history
will be merged.
It can simply not merge 2 existing logfile.
