The keyboard shortcut to close an open file (CTRL+F4) is not working. Other shortcuts seem to work correctly. Selecting "Close File" from the right-click menu or the main menu seem to be the only way to close the current file.

This also affects ideU which is based on MSEide: bugreport

    Please use the mailinglist
    https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mseide-msegui-talk
in order to report bugs of MSEide+MSEgui, faster and less bureaucracy. ;-)
    Mail archive is here:

Most likely your windowmanager "eats" Ctrl+F4 for switching to desktop 4. Either disable Ctrl+F4 in windowmanager settings or choose another shortcut for closing file in 'Settings'-'Configure MSEide'-'Shortcuts'-'File'-'Close'.

Thanks, I am now waiting for my request for joining the list to be approved.

My window manager does not seem to eat the key combination - it works in other applications, ie tabbed browsers, text and image editors, etc.

FYI, I am running Debian Jessie 64 bit with the default XFCE desktop manager.

Default XCFE setting for Ctrl+F4 is "Workspace 4", see attachment. I don't know why other applications work. Mailing list approvement should be instant. Didn't you get a response mail?

That fixed it, strange that my browser and text editor were unaffected. Thanks for the very quick response.

I did not get a mailing list email, will try again later.
