"Mr. Hyde" is an utility designed to mask any area of desktop, leaving some part of it visible.
It was created as a fix to color problem in "Heroes of Might and Magic II" game.
The problem with fullscreen mode is that colors are distorted. Only solution is to run game in
window mode. The problem with window mode is that it breaks the immersion. Solution to that is
"Mr. Hyde" utility, which adds black borders around game window.
When program is started for the first time, it shows a window with four icons (control icons).
From left to right, those icons are:
Settings icon opens configuration window, which allows to:
Screen resolution is detected automatically when the settings window is opened.
If user changes resolution while configuring program, resolution size can be refreshed with
"Detect screen resolution" button.
"Mr. Hyde" masks desktop working area by four black borders. Those borders boundaries can be
configured in two ways:
Any changes in masking borders boundaries can be seen in "Preview" panel.
Checking "start program in fullscreen mode" allows to bypass default windowed mode and start
program with all four masking borders activated and on top.
Checking "limit mouse cursor movement" only applies to fullscreen mode, when all four masking
borders are activated. This option makes sure, that mouse cursor is clipped to unmasked area
(which is helpful in windowed games).
IMPORTANT: To bypass mouse cursor clipping, hold "Control"+"Shift" keys.

After configuring settings, user can activate "Mr. Hyde" by clicking "Maximize" icon. It switches
program from normal to fullscreen modes (and back).
In fullscreen mode, masking borders are activated, thus hiding avarything which is below them. In
this mode user still have access to all four control icons (they are located in the top right
corner of the screen; thay are visible only when cursor is on top of each one).
Note: If "limit mouse cursor movement" is checked, control icons are inaccessible by default
(cursor is clipped to unmasked area). To access control icons, user have to move cursor while
holding "Control"+"Shift" keys.
