mrBurns has not been developed for a while. I do not have a Linux installation with Gnome for the time being. The current version is pretty ok. I little lacking in the installation department perhapse. mrBurns probably won`t work with Gnome 2.
A bug slipped through quality controll :P. The size of the first file you add won't be calculated properly. Problem has been fixed in latest CVS version (rev 1.55) Just overwrite mrBurns.py with the one in the CVS repository.

Another release within a week.
Project development will halt until past christmas. My exmas are coming up, and during the holidays I won't have access to my cdrecorder. However current version has to my knowledge no serious bugs. And as allways you have access to the CVS repository.
I'll be happy to fix any minor bugs if you email me about it. But I won't be able to test them for some time.
Anyways. Merry Christmas to you all! :)
For lack of better names I've desided to group file releases into to types; Polished, and Unpolished.
The Polished relases will include a simple installation script, sounds, and possibly help files. DEB, and RPM formats are considered for the polished releases. Unpolished version will be just the latest useable mrBurns.py and some textfiles. A polished version will be uploaded as soon as I get that installscript ready and some minor tweaks in place.... read more
If you like, and use mrBurns, it would be a good idea to check out the latest CVS. Save the mrBurns.py file over your current copy. The CVS has more features, and should not contain any major errors. Keep in mind that the CVS is set too write dummy cds as default. (For testing) Edit your ~/.gnome/mrBurnsrc to change.
Release of 0.32a proved a bit premature. But fixing the bug in 0.31a seemed important. After releasing 0.32a I've worked som more on the source. I'm Happy to report that the next version supports drag and drop of multiple files(about time). Expect another release within 48 hours.
After that release I belive the time is ripe for focusing on easy installation and configuration.
If you use and like mrBurns I'd love to hear from you.... read more
I've discovered a seriously anoying bug in 0.31a. It appears that the applet sometimes fails to register a added file. The bug has been pinpointed and I am working on it. I can't recall seeing this bug in 0.3a. So this release might be more stable. If you can handle the lack of the copy/move indicator.
