I have just upgraded from 1.2.6 to 1.4.9 and I have two issues.

First all previous entries were add to the new ssytem at 12 PM.

Next, the updated version will not honor periods.

I have added the following to the config.inc.php but the system will only display from 0700 to 1830 hrs for booking:

$force_resolution = True;
$enable_periods = True;
$resolution = 1800;

$periods[] = "11:30 am";
$periods[] = "12:00 pm";
$periods[] = "12:30 pm";
$periods[] = "1:00 pm";
$periods[] = "1:30 pm";
$periods[] = "2:00 pm";
$periods[] = "2:30 pm";
$periods[] = "3:00 pm";
$periods[] = "3:30 pm";
$periods[] = "4:00 pm";
$periods[] = "4:30 pm";
$periods[] = "5:00 pm";
$periods[] = "5:30 pm";
$periods[] = "6:00 pm";
$periods[] = "6:30 pm";
$periods[] = "7:00 pm";
$periods[] = "7:30 pm";
$periods[] = "8:00 pm";
$periods[] = "8:30 pm";
$periods[] = "9:00 pm";
$periods[] = "9:30 pm";
$periods[] = "10:00 pm";
$periods[] = "10:30 pm";
$periods[] = "11:00 pm";
$periods[] = "11:30 pm";
$periods[] = "12:00 am";
$periods[] = "12:30 am";
$periods[] = "1:00 am";
$periods[] = "1:30 am";

    I don't think your first issue is a problem. When using periods MRBS internally records them as bookings of one minute starting at 1200. So the first period is 1200-1201, the second 1201-1202, etc.

    I think that periods are not being honoured because you can now set the mode (periods or times) on a per-area basis. Can you try editing an area showing the problem (login as an admin and go to the Rooms page in MRBS) and setting the mode for that area to periods? The config setting just determines the mode for new areas. I suspect that when you upgraded MRBS set the mode for each of your existing areas to times.

    As an aside I notice that your periods are regularly spaced at half hour intervals. Is there a reason that you are using periods rather than times? If it is because your periods go past midnight then you might be interested to know that in the next version of MRBS (and already implemented in the trunk) you'll be able to have a booking day that extends past midnight.

    Yes - I used $periods to extend the day past midnight.

    I do not see an option to change the mode of a room when logged in as an admin.

    Here is that part of my config:

    $auth["type"] = "config";
    $auth["user"]["administrator"] = "xxx";
    $auth["user"]["user1"] = "xxx";
    $auth["admin"][] = "administrator";
