there was a potential for abuse, even if unintentional...

 

if 10 mpp users are all monitoring one channel, it would spam the tinyurl 10
times, once per person.

 

now if the channel admin deops you, your tinyurl conversion is not sent to
the channel.

 

this allows admins to control spam flow to their channels simply by deopping
you.
