why, in the new 1.950, there isn't a tarball with all the patches and little 
bit of documentation like:
mpls-linux-1.946a.tar.bz2 ?

1.950 is not fully released yet.  I decided to let people have access
to the RPMs while I'm finalizing the release.  I will be releasing a
mpls-linux tar ball when I've updated the documentation inside of it.
