Hello James,

I did some tests with different
machines/linux-distributions and the problem with TCP
traffic generally occurs with Intel 82547GI Gigabit
network card with Knoppix-MPLS  distribution. This
card accepts the "ethtool -K eth0 rx/tx off" command,
but it isn´t working with TCP connections. It seems
that Knoppix don´t work very well with this card and
MPLS.

The mii-tool command works only to set the
autonegotiation speed of network cards.
