The "ip" command lets you specify upto 255 routing
tables, is there a reason that stops you from using
that for VRF?
Have you seen "bird" routing daemon
(http://bird.network.cz/?download).
IXP cpus with microengines that support mpls will be
cool, i can feel the speed of the internet increasing
already :)

I really dont think i have the brains, but i think you
would get a lot of people on board once you give the
green light to ldp and bgp for mpls, i know thats what
has stopped me from using it for my latest project.
