The kernel config is the .config file in the top level linux source directory.
It is produced when you do a 'make menuconfig'.  You sould make sure that you
have the same .config for the old and new kernels.

It's not related to the mpls-linux code, its related to the kernel config
you used to build the mpls-linux enable kernel.
