Did you turn on the "Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)" option
under networking options?

Did you see "MPLS version X.XXX YY/YY/2001 jl...@mi..."
or something like that in you kernel boot up?  You might want to 
read QUICK.START to learn what kernel configuration you should do.
