Dear Daniel, Regarding the issue you raise, I would not suggest at this point the use of the current Linux MPLS implementation in a production network. It is still in experimental stage and there is a clear luck of adequate documentation. Effectively, the only helpful documentation (to my knowledge) with UseCases and step through them exists for the older mpls-linux version [1] prior to the integration in the kernel 3.2. However, someone needs to take into account, that the documentation cannot be applied as in the text since there are some changes in the command line syntax for the user-space mpls configuration application. The current implementation [2] is many steps forward the old mpls-linux regarding forwarding speed, stability and efficiency. However there still exist issues that demand testing and resolution.
