Hi Nilesh, Linux : Debian 5 with 2.6.26-1-686 kernel. Then download and install linux-2.6.25.14 with mpls-1.962 patch. download 1.962 patch from http://repo.or.cz/w/mpls-linux.git/snapshot/131b65b4fdc79d30b75d351d3e4bc155da932548.tar.gz. Here is my dmesg output : parul:/usr/src/mpls-linux# dmesg | grep MPLS [ 0.852242] MPLS: version 1.962 [ 0.852296] MPLS: protocol driver interface - <jl...@mi...> [ 0.852758] MPLS: IPv4 over MPLS support parul:/usr/src/mpls-linux# uname -a Linux parul 2.6.25.14 #1 SMP Mon Oct 25 17:48:57 EDT 2010 i686 GNU/Linux parul:/usr/src/mpls-linux# I took RPM packages from http://mpls-linux.sourceforge.net/fedora/10/i386/mpls/ then use alien to convert iproute-2.6.27-2.fc10.mpls.1.963.i386.rpm<http://mpls-linux.sourceforge.net/fedora/10/i386/mpls/iproute-2.6.27-2.fc10.mpls.1.963.i386.rpm>into .deb. After installing using dpkg, I am able to get mpls CLI working. Although above RPM (mpls built into)are made for Fedora 10. For Debian you need to get iproute-2.6.27.tar.gz and then apply iproute patch diff file from mpls-1.962 patches. Then run gcc to make iproute patch with mpls. So I have given the work around to use RPM after converting using alien. Hope this should work. With regards, -- Dibyajyoti Guha.
