You have the correct version of ldp-portable, I haven't made an official release in quite sometime, maybe I should fix that :-) Did you find the 'create-links' script is the quagga-mpls/ldpd directory? You need to run that to make symbolic links to the files in ldp-portable. If you use an RPM based system you can use the 'make-rpm-jleu' script at the top of the quagga-mpls tree to build a RPM from the contents of that tree.
