When going to CNN.com, for instance, and clicking on a
video, mplayer comes up as if to play the video, but
continually loops the link inside the window. This did not
happen with the 3.25 version

I am running SUSE Version 10.1, and a forum entry at
SUSEForums reported that this was a bug in the 3.30
version, and that I should get the 3.25 version and use
it. Unfortunately, that version doesnt seem to be around
any more.

I have had several people attempt to resolve the issue. I
have tried uninstalling Firefox 1.5.0.6 and reinstalling,
along with reinstalling the player, to no avail.

I would really appreciate some help.

Thanks you very much. My contact information is as

    try adding

    nortc=1
    nolirc=1

    to your mplayer config file. It is usually in ~/.mplayer/config

    This issue has been brought up on the mailing list and in
    the bug reports and is a known issue.
