Thanks, I did just try the gecko-mediaplayer. I was putting it off because I recently removed all remnants of GNOME for no reason but I seen again some where that it required GMOME-PLAYER - but after looking at it closer; I read it doesn't require the GNOME Library so I gave it a go, sure enough it works just like the original mplayerplug-in - probably better - Great stuff, Thanks.

I pretty much doubt it will be updated as it requires a pretty large
change to the code make it work.
Have you tried gecko-mediaplayer? It is the follow up to the
mplayerplug-in project, but with better support all around. And if
something doesn't work let me know and I can probably fix it.
