First off, my apologies for posting this to a development list, but I
can't seem to find any user-oriented lists for the mplayerplug-in.
I've compiled and installed the plugin on debian/woody, placing the
compiled files thusly:
Note that the plugin was compiled against Mozilla 1.7.5, the version in
/opt is 1.7.2, which I'm running because it's patched for some
font-related issues that I've had with the Debian packaged mozilla.
'about:plugins' shows the plugin as being installed, as well as
supporting a boatload of MIME-types, but if I go to, say, the plugger
testing grounds, and attempt to view anything that corresponds to what
mplayerplug-in is supposed to play, I get a popup from the Default
Plugin telling me to go and download an appropriate plugin.
I've verified that the MIME type listed in the 'Default Plugin' box is
in the list of supported plugins on the 'about:plugins' page; so what
gives? Any ideas, pointers, suggestions, or places for me to read the RTFM?
