Hi! Is it possible to disable the playing RealPlayer files in mplayerplug-in? I want to play qt, and other files with mplayer (with mplayerplug-in), but I have installed RealPlayer for linux, and I want to play .ram, and .ra files with that, not with mplayer. How can I disable just the realplayer formats? Thanks! |

LeVA, Unfortunately there is no way to do it dynamically at the moment... It is on the list. If you are compiling from source. just delete the mime types you don't want and recompile and reinstall. Current CVS of mplayer seems to play realmedia files pretty well, but you need the codecs to do that. there is a trik if you have (you *must* have) your plugin in your home dir , do: touch ~/.mozilla/plugins/rpnp.so and redo after an Mplayerplug-in update the rule is: all plugins in your homedir come first, if you have more plugins in the same dir, just do a "reverse" touch for any plugin you want on top, try about:plugins (you don't need to restart) to see the order of your plugins. no code modification reqired :) Kevin DeKorte ha dichiarato in data 18/06/2003 19:53: > LeVA, > > Unfortunately there is no way to do it dynamically at the moment... Here's how I did it edit mplayerplug-in/Source/mplayerplug-in.c Change the following to handle whatever types you want. Here's mine NPP_GetMIMEDescription(void) { /* type of files we handle */ return("video/quicktime:mov:Quicktime;" "video/x-quicktime:mov:Quicktime;" "video/quicktime:mp4:Quicktime;" "video/quicktime:sdp:Quicktime - Session Description Protocol;" "application/x-quicktimeplayer:mov:Quicktime;" "video/x-ms-asf-plugin:asf,asx:Windows Media;" "video/x-ms-wm:asf:MSNBCPlayer;" "video/x-ms-asf:asf,asx:Windows Media;" "video/x-ms-wmv:wmv:Windows Media;" "video/x-ms-wvx:wvx:Windows Media;" "audio/x-ms-wax:wax:Windows Media;" "application/x-mplayer2:wmv,asf,mov:Windows Media;" "application/x-drm-v2:asx:Windows Media" ); } This just plays Quicktime and Windows Media files. Realplayer stuff is handled by a seperate plugin. I have mime types in Mozilla to play the rest of the stuff using external apps. -Rob On Wed, 18 Jun 2003 18:13:50 +0200 LeVA <le...@fb...> wrote: > Hi! > > Is it possible to disable the playing RealPlayer files in > mplayerplug-in?
