Thread: [Mplayerplug-in-devel] Want to add tv capture for plugin

maybe it sound odd, but i need this for a project i'm working on, Someone think this could be usefull for the plugin ? Anyway ,I've looked through the code, and i'm very confused :), need a direction. I'm understanding that the plugin doesnt use shared libraries of mplayer , but instead it activates the mplayer program itself , Right? does this use the "Slave Mode" ? Thanks |

You can put the driver stuff in the mplayer config file. The example you provided the driver option is ignored. something like this tv=driver=v4l2:input=1:width=320:height=200:device=/dev/video0:audiorate=48000 embed options debug nocache src type filename url location href qtsrc width height starttime hidden nopauseonhide target scale loop autorewind repeat autostart autoplay showcontrols showtracker showbuttons showfsbutton showlogo Then there are a bunch of javascript events, documented in DOCS/tech/javascript.txt Anything else in the embed tag is ignored. BTW these are all in plugin-setup.cpp and in the function New around line 504. so for TV (And I have no way to test since I don't have tuner) <embed type='application/x-mplayer2' nocache='true' src='tv://' width=320 height=200> If you don't have nocache the url 'tv://' will try to be downloaded rather than passed to mplayer. --------------------------------- Kevin DeKorte kde...@ya... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thanks ,=20 I got a little progress, can't c tv screen still. The most problematic point so far is that it stops After first =09 ******** SetWindow callback exit ******** I saw that with normal Media , the next function call is :=20 NPError nsPluginInstance::NewStream(NPMIMEType type, NPStream * strea= m, which causes eventually the "mplayer -...." command line to be launch= ed. but when i use it with <embed type=3D"application/x-mplayer2" =09=09=09 src=3D"tv://"=20 =09=09=09nocache=3D"true"/> as I said ,it never reaches nsPluginInstance::NewStream and doesnt reach to the point where the "mplayer -...." command line= =20 is being launched. Any ideas ? Is there alternative execution Path=20 (that doesnt pass through nsPluginInstance::NewStream )=20 which can cause mplayer to be activated ? Finally i've got it to work ,I had to make minor to changes to the source code for that , think it should be integrated back into the svn repo ? if so i'll create a patch. The last thing i need : remove the play/stop/ full-screen buttons= =20 Can i do it without massing with the Source ? thank you very much Kevin I will prepare the patch. although i'm not sure it's written as it should be becouse i'm not so femiliar with the code yet. the 'contorls=3Dfalse' in embed tag has no effect. showcontrols=3D0 in config file does work, the buttons are hidden but the gray button-bar is still visible. is there a cure ? Ok , the main change is in plugin-threads.cpp=20 to enable TV capture line 1789 (in playPlaylist)=20 =09 =20 if ( strcmp(local_url,"tv://") =3D=3D 0 ) { local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("-tv:driver");=09=09 =20 local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("v4l2"); local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("-tv:input");=09=09 = =20 local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("1"); local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("-tv:width");=09=09 =20 local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("640"); local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("-tv:height");=09=09 =20 local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("480"); local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("-tv:outfmt");=09=09 =20 local_td->argv[argc++] =3D strdup("i420"); } snprintf(message, 1024, _("Playing %s"), local_list->url); there might be some other minor change to get it to that function ( playPlayList ) , or maybe not, checking on it Anyway, thats about it. how can I get it integrated into the Source code repos? where is the repos ? how can I make sure it doesnt mass with anything else - pretty sure it can effect anything that doesnt contain "tv://"=20 in the url. I do know that it won't appear in the mplayerplug-in debug log on the mplayer command line. There may be some more useful information further down in the log like what mplayer is doing. Again, I don't believe this is something that should be necessary in the source code at this point. However, I am willing to be proven wrong. But, if it does go into the source there will be NO hardcoded values. They will have to be pulled from the config file. Also I don't think you want the -cache 512 line to appear when you are using TV so make sure you have nocache=3D1 in the embed tag that you are using. It also looks like you are using a window width of 380 which if I recall from your earlier posts you were capturing 640x480 (so you have a size mismatch and that will give you odd output) Kevin - -- Get my public GnuPG key from http://keyserver.veridis.com:11371/export?id=3D7574690260641978351 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEm+flaR60qN0tF+8RAq0bAJ45k3rf+ONRs9I4kflC3AN8cB0EAgCgr3ea KHygfF0se+lGiOYi0+xMr0g=3D =3Du0io -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

I've tried "debug=3D2" but got nothing.
