Is it true that this software works only for unix
installs of mozilla so that my using Netscape 7.2 on
Windows XP Pro makes it unsuitable for me? I think the
answer is yes, because I downloaded
http://superb-east.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/mplayerplug-in/mplayerplug-in-0.2.1.xpi
which brought up the .xpi usual dialog box but then
"Install Script not found", yet, the site doesn't
document this bug anywhere.

Sorry, this software is not designed for Windows and no
support is planned for Windows as there are several other
    options for Windows machines.

    All 5 plug-ins listed at
    http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/projects.html#unofficial_packages
don't install properly or are explicitly cited as being
unix-only, so what are the Windows options? Did mplayerhq.hu
just not document them or am I misusing one of those listed
    5 options?

Unknown as I only use mplayer and mplayerplug-in on Unix. I
know mplayer is available for Windows (I've used it myself
to transcode some videos), but I don't know of any browser
    plugins that work on Windows.
