I have Mplayer OSX Version 1.0pre8 installed. I would like to get mplayer working by terminal (like in linux). Once I can get it working by commmand line, hopefully I can use it in MythFrontend for OSX. In Mplayer OSX Help, they advise to make a symlink via this command :
ln -s /Applications/MPlayer OSX.app/Contents/Resources/External_Binaries/mplayer.app/Contents/MacOS/mplayer /usr/local/bin/mplayer
When I type this in the terminal I get this error :
ln: /usr/local/bin/mplayer: No such file or directory
Could someone offer help in fixing this problem and getting mplayer to work from the terminal? Thank you.
