#3 stopping in mplay freezes the UI

if you stop a song while it is playing in mplay, the countdown timer, progress bar, and track counter will freeze. The playlist will still be useable, as will other elements of the UI, but the time-keeping parts will be frozen. They will begin working, however, if you press 'a' or 'tab'... but as soon as you exit the menu, they will stop working again.
