You should really give it a try! There are major feature enhancements, new supported players and a lot of bug fixes.

MPIO is popular MP3 player in the world. Now we can play with MPIO under Linux!
Current status is internal memory support.(Upload/download/delete files, formatting memory)
This product includes Linux kernel module, library(API functions) and front end tool like shell program.
We are trying to manage external memory, SmartMedia(TM) cards. Even though it is experimental, but you will know much
about SmartMedia to read source codes, we believe. Also check up our web site. you can know a lot about MPIO.

After releasing mpio driver initial version, I got some e-mails from mpio users who are interested in this project.
So I decided to create mailing list for the project.

mpio-0.1a-pre1.tar.gz is released.

This is pre-alpha version of MPIO linux device driver and sample program to communicate with MPIO.

Here we go!
