Secure Password Authentication (SPA) cannot be selected
in the server properties dialog

-- Version:
2.70b (build 2067)

-- Steps to repro:
From menu choose Server/Properties

Click on radio button for "Log on using Secure Password
authentication"

-- Observed:
See screenshot attached
*both* SPA and the previous option are selected, ie the
SPA radio button doesn't seem to be part of the group.
When the dialog is closed, the SPA option doesn't take.

-- Expected:
To be able to select SPA, connect to news server, yada
yada yada ...

-- Other comments
I was only checking Gravity out as a possibility among
alternates (eg Thunderbird, Agent), so I won't
investigate further. Without SPA it is useless to me.
Pity ...
(I would be enticed to try again if I don't get settled
in another newsreader in the meantime, I tried gravity
once many years ago and rather liked the look of it)

Its still there. Have to admit, its a little whacky. I don't know a news server requiring SPA to test it. Of course getting the radio buttons to behave does not mean that SPA actually works. I noticed you can press the radio button for user/pass twice and it *does* let you enter text, but I dont know if it sticks. It also allows you to select "no password required" but still select SPA. (can you use SPA without user/pass?). I let it medium priority because he is the only one that ever complained! Aren't radio buttons exclusive (can only pick one). It seems the user/pass fields should activate with a check box not radio button so you can add that option to either. As I recall Al tested the code with a *mail* server requiring SPA. So lets assume at least the code part works :)
