#1 ESD support

Hi,

this small patch adds the support for ESounD driver -
the only way I found to make it work correctly with
ALSA (the ALSA driver doesn't work for me) and not
block the audio device for otheer processes. It lase
changes the default device to esd, but You can remove
that part:)

Thank you for the patch; the first hunk has been applied, and will be patch-11.

The second hunk gave me the idea of customizing the defaults at compile time, I think support for custom defaults could make it into a future patch;
