mpc123 switched to Mercurial

I was hacking with the mpc123 tla archive recently (after receiving the
mail from Elmo, I wanted to take a look at the revision log). And
inadvertently I mv'ed the archive to another filesystem, forgetting how
baroque tla's handling of inodes is ...

Result: fscked up local clone.

Solution: took 15 minutes to switch to Mercurial, set up the public
repository on sf, and even the hgweb interface :)... read more

Version 0.2.4 is out!

Old bugs removed! \o/

You will no longer be pissed off by:
* seemingly random segmentation faults
* playlist filename truncation
* lack of i18n

This version includes an Italian translation

version 0.2.2 is out!

Version 0.2.2 was released today, to fix some bugs that made the program unusable on powerpc, and took mpc123 out of Debian :(

Version 0.2 is out!

Also known as version "you should really be using this". The tarball is available at the sourceforge file release page, while the deb package should be soon there, and also in the official Debian repository. We'll post news when this happens :)

Changes from 0.1:
- support for track skipping by SIGINT
- many bugs corrected
- better support for various sound systems
- more ..

mpc123 in Debian

If you have Debian sid (the mistakenly so-called unstable branch), now you can do `apt-get install mpc123` !!

Thanks to the efforts of Daniele Sempione, now every Debian user can use mpc123 without having to download/compile it by themselves :)

Code freeze for release 0.1

The mpc123 development team has decided to freeze the code, and release version 0.1;

This initial version will have very basic functionalities, but we are already developing on what will become the new mpc123--0.1 branch.

More news will follow the release.
