See screen shot of error message. Note also the sloppy alert title. Its capitalization doesn't match the app name.

In fact, I can only join about 1 out of 10 pairs of videos ripped from the same DVDs with the same HandBrake settings. The majority of them just say "Fail."

I need to see log file to check what went wrong. But unfortunately you can save log file only in v3.4 that currently not avaible for Mac. I plan to publish it shortly.
