#1 Trouble compiling on Linux from GNU tarball

I downloaded the GNU tarball from http://mp4creator.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mp4creator.tar.gz?view=tar
but couldn't compile it on my Linux box.

The problems I saw:

1) the doc folder is not in the tarball, so the README -> README.html ->doc/MAINREADME.html redirection isn't helpful. :-)

2) Running ./bootstrap as mentioned in README_FIRST file returns the message:
------------------------
dir: .
Please run cvs_bootstrap instead.
Please note that you will need autoconf, automake and libtool
of the correct version as specified in the README
-----------------
Unfortunately, there isn't a cvs_bootstrap file in the tarball, and of course since I can't read the README (see #1), I can't tell what versions of autoconf, automake, and libtool I need...

I found the windows version incredibly useful for a project I'm doing; would love to put it on my Linux server as well. (I'm trying it on Fedora Core 7, though I have a few other Linux boxes at my disposal for testing).

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help resolve the problem.

Thanks!
