#1 Can't control winamp

Hi. I have win98se and winamp3. I configured your
program properly, I think. Application path is correct,
com port is correct. I saved and loaded. However,
when I press the power button on the mp3 remote
control I see the mouse hour glass flicker but Winamp
wont open. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Winamp3 no longer uses the same architecture to allow
control by other applications. There's a plugin
(http://www.winamp.com/components3/detail.jhtml?componentId=118230)
that adds winamp2 control features and plugin compatibility
to winamp3 that I use to keep things working. The standard
winamp control set is still good, except that you need to
change the application path. Two caveats:
1) The power button will start winamp, but it won't make
winamp quit
2) If you're in shuffle mode, the reverse button picks a
random song istead of the previous song.
Personally, I'm waiting for Nullsoft to release the next
version/bugfix before I start putting any effort into making
mp3remote work with it out of the box.

Thanks for the reply. I found a website that offers old
versions of software. I downloaded a 1.9 v of Winamp and
your program works just fine.
